Temple University Application Requirements

First-year undergraduate students can apply through the online portal on the admissions website or use the Common App. The application fee is $55. First-year undergraduates should submit a self-reported high school transcript, satisfactory SAT or ACT scores, an application essay, extracurricular activities list and an optional letter of recommendation.

Graduate students should supply supplemental documents like official transcripts, a $60 application fee along with a completed application, satisfactory test scores, and a personal statement. Upper-level academic programs each have their own unique application process.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition and fees depending on the desired program of study for both undergraduate and graduate students. Overall, for undergraduate students who are residents of the state, tuition will be $16,274 and for those who are non-residents, tuition will be $27,266. On average, the cost of tuition for graduate students who are residents of the state is $17,378 while tuition for non-residents is $23,588.

Temple University rewards 68% of full-time undergraduate students with financial aid in the form of scholarships with awards averaging $9,352. Students can receive financial aid in the form of loans, grants, scholarships, and work-study programs.
